The European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) is the EU's main instrument for investing in people through investments in employment, society, education and skills, including structural reforms in these areas.

The fund is managed jointly with states and regional authorities.

The Veneto Region - through its ESF+ Regional Programme 2021-2027 - provides a total budget of more than EUR 1 billion to:

  • support access to employment and active inclusion of all jobseekers
  • promote gender equality in labour market participation,
  • promote skills acquisition and improve education and training systems to meet market needs and challenges.

Overall, the regional programme plans to involve more than 230,000 over the seven-year period.
