Teaching Staff, Relations with Verona Integrated University Hospital and the National Health System Unit

This unit is responsible for:

•  Managing the career pathways of permanent and fixed-term teaching and research staff.
• Managing authorisations for paid work by externals.
• Managing relief-teaching, teaching contracts for external experts and incentives for internal academic staff to teach on the university’s degree programmes.
• Managing relations with Verona Integrated University Hospital and National Health System authorities in terms of financial and legal considerations for employees and collaborators.
•  Handling legal and financial matters for university staff carrying out medical-related work.
•  Managing the leave and mission periods of teaching staff who perform medical-related work.
•  Preparing agreements and memoranda of understanding with National Health System authorities.

Relations with the National Health Service

The collaboration between the National Health Service of the Veneto Region and the University of Verona deals with the integration of the academic staff in aid activity: • professor of the scientific disciplinary sectors of the medical field; • administrative technician. Such collaboration is regulated by: • national and regional legislation; • Momerandums of Understanding (MOU); • implementing acts; • circular letters. The collaboration contemplates the combination of didactics, research and aid activity, and it takes place in the ordinary way, at the University Hospital of Verona (AOUI), which represents the reference company. Some institutional partnerships have been currently introduced concerning the aid activity with: • IRCCS Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital of Negrar; • P. Pederzoli – Private nursing home of Peschiera del Garda (VR).

Pensions Unit

This unit manages:

•  Pensions for academic staff, managers, technical and administrative staff and language-expert collaborators.
•  Invalidity pension procedures.
•  Registration of insurance positions with INPS.
•  Redemptions, aggregations and pension calculations.
•  TFS and TFR files.
