Activity

The Research and Innovation Directorate supports and promotes the development of research at the University, overseeing in an integrated manner the processes of accessing funding, planning, managing and valorising research outcomes, and providing professional, administrative and organisational support to departments, as well as strengthening PhD programmes as a strategic element for the continuity and development of scientific expertise.

It acts as an active interface with the business sector, identifying the needs of companies and enhancing the value of research outcomes by promoting technology transfer, partnerships and innovation initiatives.

It contributes to the University’s competitiveness by supporting the attraction of resources, the integration of research and innovation, and the generation of scientific, economic and social impact.

Area of responsibility

Sviluppo della Ricerca

L'Area assicura il presidio tecnico-professionale per supportare l’accesso ai finanziamenti e la corretta ed efficiente gestione dei progetti di ricerca e dei percorsi di alta formazione.

In particolare, attraverso le sue unità organizzative:

  • segue le attività di accesso ai finanziamenti per la ricerca sia nazionali che internazionali e presidia la gestione e la rendicontazione dei progetti finanziati.
  • presidia la procedura amministrativa per il reclutamento del personale pre-ruolo.
  • coordina i corsi di dottorato, l'accesso ai relativi finanziamenti e borse di studio, nonché la gestione amministrativa e la carriera dei dottorandi in ambito nazionale e internazionale.

Priorità strategiche dell'Area sono:

  • il potenziamento dello scouting, con segnalazione mirata delle opportunità ai gruppi di ricerca più pertinenti, per aumentare la partecipazione ai bandi. ​
  • il miglioramento dell’efficienza nella gestione e nella rendicontazione dei progetti.
  • il rafforzamento del valore strategico dei dottorati di ricerca per la continuità e lo sviluppo delle competenze scientifiche.
